The Village Club is a private city club which offers fine dining, cultural, educational, social and philanthropic opportunities. Individuals are sponsored for membership based on letters of recommendation and endorsement from current members. Formed in 1956, the Village Club has occupied its current location at 190 East Long Lake Road (just east of Woodward Ave.) in Bloomfield Hills since 1962. If you have ever been to a wedding or other event at The Village Club, you know that our clubhouse is tastefully decorated and our award-winning Executive Chef provides an outstanding array of fabulous dishes for your dining pleasure. What you may not know is that The Village Club also offers:

Reciprocity

Village Club members also have golf and dining privileges at Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester. In addition, members have reciprocity with 32 clubs all over the United States, as well as four clubs in England and France. 

Classes and individual programs

Exciting classes and lectures with prominent speakers are offered year-round at the Club. Diverse subject areas such as art, literature, history and world affairs, gardening, decorating, finance, exercise, bridge, Mah Jongg are just some of the topics offered by the Club. We encourage non-members to take one of our classes. Many members first came to know and appreciate The Village Club by taking a class or attending a lecture.

Social Events

Theme parties, road rallies, fashion show luncheons, holiday festivities, family nights, jazz nights, and elegant balls are all part of the social life at The Village Club. Special events are also scheduled throughout the year, including day trips, overnight and extended travel, duplicate and contract bridge, theater excursions, etc.

Business connections

The Professional Women’s Group meets monthly for networking, education, and sharing of business ideas. The group also has speakers and webinars on a variety of subjects.
 

Business center

Members have wifi access, a conference table, desk, and current newspapers and business publications for their use. Whether for client meetings, computer work or just relaxing between appointments, the business center is your office away from your office.

Clubs within the Club

Members with similar interests plan activities and gatherings. We have bridge leagues, a Mah Jongg group, a book club, a bourbon club, a culinary club, a new member connectors club, a men's book club, and a men’s luncheon group.

Philanthropy

All members of The Village Club are automatically members of The Village Club Foundation, which offers financial support in the form of grants, to qualified non-profit organizations throughout the tri-county area.

Committees

There are more than 25 committees at the Club to get involved with if you are interested. Our Club is governed by our members for our members.
